Yep, I got a sweet new condenser mic. M-Audio's Solaris. It's beautiful and sounds like it. I re-recorded "Take a Number" and it sounds sooooo much better. Too bad that uber isn't being very good about music uploads right now or I would share it. I'm going to post it here: reverbnation.com/mushimusic Also, I'm about done with an entirely new track. I'm pretty pleased with it...it's a little different from my other tracks. Check it out when it's done!!
I just finished reading these lovely books, and I may have to read them again immediately. They're the kind of books that make think: "Gosh, if everybody took the time to read this...the world would be such a better place." I'm not trying to say Taoism is for everybody but I think everybody can learn from it.
Yes. I am done, done, done with the college world. Granted, I'm still living on campus while I look for a job ($18/day = cheep cheep). However, I will find that job and work it and get a studio apartment...someday soon, I hope.
Oh yeah, and who spoke at my graduation? William Nye, Scientist (a.k.a. BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY!!!). I had no idea he was so prolifically scientific. He's got multiple patents and a number of shows in the works. (Also, he's really old). Basically, he told us: "Congrats! Now, go save the world by revolutionizing the energy industry and reducing your carbon footprint." He's kinda nutty about the environment, which is something that I can totally dig. Anyways...that was cool and so was getting to see my 3-wk old niece and fam.
First off = Woot! "Stack the Deck" will be featured as the electronic music Track of the Day at garageband.com (May 13, 2008)! How slick is that??? Now I just need to figure out how to successfully upload it here!
Also, now that I'm OFFICIALLY (unofficially) done with college I have a lot more time on my hands! (If anybody wants to read the manga I "fake translated"...well, it's not the greatest, but I'll send it to you anyways!)
So, I'm supposed to be finishing my senior thesis tonight. It was due on Friday, but my prof just gave it back to me. Oh yeah, I gave it to her two weeks ago. I was supposed to be able to give her a second rough draft. So, instead I'm drinking tea and writing blog. Also, I have 2 (TEE DUBYA OH) new songs to post but uber's upload service is being a pissant.

Hey there Uber-ites, I've been reading more Musicophilia and just finished the section on musical synesthesia. I was curious if any of you have this awesome ability, or any other kind of synesthesia. I'm curious if your synesthesia has any effect on your musical preference or abilities!

I realized that I have less than a month to go until all my college work will be complete. That includes my fake translation of an entire manga and, more importantly, my senior thesis project. Gosh, it would be a lot easier not to care about all this if I had a job...Oh well...SOOOOOON!!!!
